Aurora returns from multi-million pound refit to Adult Only

P&O Cruises Aurora returns from refit to Adult only ship

 

News Release: 16 April 2019 

P&O Cruises, Aurora has returned to active cruise service following a 16 day refit where she was redesigned as an adult only ship. During the refit in Brest, France, 28 brand new cabins where added to the aft of the Deck 8 in place of the childrens facilities plus public areas including open spaces, restuarants, bars and the spa also received refurbishment.

Bulit in 2000, the 1,910-passenger Aurora was refitted to an adult only ship as a replace for her older sister ship Oriana, which is due to leave P&O Cruises for China in August 2019. Aurora will join Arcadia as the lines two dedicated child-free ships.

Aurora will be based out of Southampton year round offering a range of sailings to European destinations including the Canary Islands, Norwegian Fjords, Mediterranean and Scandinavia. If you're looking sail onboard the beautifully refurbished Aurora, then contact  our experts or book online today.

List of areas reburbished include:

  • All suites, including the two-floor penthouse suites received full refurbishment including new furniture, carpet, curtains and bathroom fittings.
  • The Oasis Spa receive an updated make over including refurbished treatment rooms, thermal suite and steam room.
  • The Glass House received a modern make over with new decor, tables, artwork and soft furnishings.
  • Anderson’s, Carmen’s, Charlie’s, Masquerade and Raffles venues all received new carpets, soft furnishings and furniture 
  • Both Riviera and Crystal pools received new poolside furniture and tiling.
  • The maind dining rooms & atrium received new carpets in the atrium.
  • All cabins will have new mattresses installed over the next six months.
