Royal Caribbean Start Construction of 5th Oasis Class
Construction starts on Royal Caribbean's fifth Oasis-Class

Royal Caribbean have officially started constuction of this fifth Oasis-class cruise ship, which is due to enter service in 2021. The ship is being build in the French shipyard Chantiers de L'Atlantique, where previous Royal Caribbean ships & sister brand Celebrity Cruises solstice class ships have been built. As is traditional with all new ships a small ceremony was held including both parties for the cutting of the first plate of steel.
As present Royal Caribbean have yet to name the ship, but early indications are that she will be also identical to her other sister ships of Oasis, Allure, Harmony & Symphony of the seas, however limited details have been released as of yet. Before construction had begun it was announced by the cruise line an order of a sixth Oasis-Class ship.
Current construction is still ongoing on its new ship, Odyssey of the seas which is due to enter service in late 2020. Details of her itineraries have yet to be announced along with the recently announced Oasis-Class ships
Royal Caribbean recently took delivery of its new Asia-based ship, Spectrum of the Seas, and also has another new ship -- Odyssey of the Seas -- slated to debutin fall 2020.
