Voyager of the Seas $97 million refit
Royal Caribbean have announced that the Voyager of the Seas will recieve a $97 million refit, she will become the lines first South Pacific based ship to receive the Royal Amplified upgrade program.
According to a statement from Royal Caribbean: "From The Perfect Storm duo of racer waterslides to the reinvigorated Vitality Spa and redesigned kids and teens spaces, Voyager will tout a thrilling combination of experiences that make for an unforgettable family vacation to far-flung destinations on the other side of the world." .
After completion of her refit, Voyager of the Seas will begin its new schedule in October with a series of three- to five-night Southeast Asia itineraries from Singapore, followed by a season down under in Australia and New Zealand with nine- to 12-night South Pacific cruises from Sydney, Australia, starting on November 2019.
Among some of the new features to be added to the ship is Planet Z laser tag and redesigned spaces for younger guests, new Vitality Spa and Fitness Center which is being relocated to the aft of the ship and the addition of 72 new interior and balcony staterooms.
Royal Caribbean will also be adding a new Suite lounge & outside area exclusively for Guests in Grand Suites and above, plus the Diamond lounge for exclusive use by members of Royal Caribbean’s Crown & Anchor Society loyalty program. The ship will also feature the lines new International mobile app.
Voyager of the Seas will become the fourth ship to be reimagined as part of the Royal Amplified fleet modernization following research and guest feedback. Royal Caribbean has commiteed to an investment of more than $1 billion spans 10 ships in four years.
