What facilities & features can I find onboard Mardi Gras during my Bahamas Cruise departing 15 November 2027
When Carnival launched its first ship, 1972's TSS Mardi Gras, they made cruising a lot less stuffy, a bit less fancy, the kind of fun everybody could enjoy. Nobody expected this ship to change the cruise world, but... here we are! So here's a brand-new ship with a familiar name. With this Mardi Gras they aren't just paying homage to the first ship - in cruising circles this name suggests innovation, signals the start of something big.
Oh, and this Mardi Gras still shouts "fun!" at the top of its lungs. This ship introduces Zones - six themed areas packed with brand-new experiences for eating, drinking and spectacularly getting down to fun.
There's BOLT, the first-ever rollercoaster at sea, Emeril's Bistro 1396 from yes-that-Emeril, Family Feud Live for everybody... plus incredible new bars like The Brass Magnolia and Fortune Teller. Everybody can enjoy Mardi Gras, sailing now. Come on down!

Emeril's Bistro at Sea
Could we really build our newest ships to reach their true flavour potential without Emeril restaurants? It would be tough. So we went to the man himself and he was like Sure Carnival, kick "em up a notch" and that was pretty much that!
Emeril's three restaurants at sea - Emeril's Bistro 1396 (the original, on Mardi Gras), Emeril's Bistro 1397 (the worldly one, on Carnival Celebration) and Emeril's Bistro 717 (the seafood specialist, on Carnival Jubilee) - make sure that everybody knows about Emeril's love for Creole cuisine.
That's essentially his life's work, and now you will enjoy the authentic bayou flavors and fun that New Orleans is known for on your vacation. If you haven't had the pleasure, we are talking about fried oysters, BBQ shrimp, duck & sausage gumbo, po-boys, muffuletta sandwiches, fresh ceviche, jambalaya and more.
And at Emeril's Bistro 1397, the restaurant's one cool trick is also collecting flavour inspiration from every corner of the world, and spotlighting international dishes daily that make great use of them for you... all with Emeril's signature culinary flair!
They're serving up the man's faves all day... and because flavours this big don't just sleep in, we do it for breakfast too with choices like shrimp and grits, breakfast po-boys and bananas foster crepes! Raw bar, incredible desserts and Crescent City atmosphere round out the experience.
Chibang
"Chibang" is a fun word to say, so take a minute to try it out. (Really, do it now - they'll wait!) That sounded great to us, and Carnival can't wait to host you at they're new restaurant. When you join them you will detect some delicious Chinese and Mexican traditions in the atmosphere of this elegant, modern spot - but even more importantly, you'll notice them on your plate!
They have brought together favourite dishes from the two cuisines, into an amazing menu that invites you to spread your culinary wings across the Pacific. Try a little from each side by mixing, matching and sharing in an evening of flavour explorations - right down to handcrafted cocktails made with authentic ingredients.
Or stop in to Chibang! for a casual lunch that features noodle and burrito bowls based on our favourite ingredients from both of these worlds.
Rudi's Seagrill
The sea is all around you when you cruise, and it has something for all your senses to experience. From the scent of a sea breeze to the sound of waves lapping at the ship... complete the experience with an evening of curated seafood flavours at Rudi's Seagrill.
This restaurant is the brainchild of cookbook author and master chef Rudi Sodamin. He has years of experience pleasing palates of vacationers.. and this guy loves serving up a smile as much as Carnival does! But he's serious about you experiencing the best that the seas have to offer, and an evening at Rudi's proves it through the courses.
Enjoy selections like seafood bisque and crab-stuffed lobster tail imperial - all served with an elegant flair that pays proper tribute to the beauty of the ocean from which so much fun, and flavour, arises.

The Brass Magnolia
When a culinary mecca like New Orleans invents flavours, you shouldn't be surprised to find these innovative creations echoing off of delighted taste buds worldwide. So if they are talking drinks, think about the fruity Hurricane cocktail or the stately Sazerac - for ages now these hometown heroes have been ambassadors for the city's credo of fun, flavour and just plain good times.
You know Carnival's all about that too, so make sure to check out The Brass Magnolia on Mardi Gras! You can imagine this onboard bar at the intersection two of NOLA's most enduring icons: the city's indelible jazz nightlife and its historic Garden District. The culture is well-represented on board by the swingin' jazz trio that keeps things nice and hot... and it only takes one look at the decor to feel as if you just stepped into an elegant Southern estate.

Everyone has those perfect songs that never fail to get them moving. Playlist Productions, Carnivals' onboard theatre team brings lists like yours to life! Your favourites become full-blown musical productions featuring singers and dancers bringing down the house. Shows vary by ship, but there is a playlist for every music lover. Need a few examples? How about the spicy sounds of Amor Cubano, the movie-magic soundtrack of FLICK, or Vintage Pop with its 20s-jazz-meets-modern-hits?
Release your inner rock-n-roll patriot during America Rocks! Enter the centre of groove with the passionate Heart of Soul. Feel the arena-shaking sounds of Epic Rock, the piano-pounding sounds of 88 Keys, the totally bad-meaning-good 80s Pop to the Max, plus the funky, sophisticated and not-at-all exclusive Studio VIP, where everyone is welcome to come and get down!
The Ropes Course
The chance to complete an awesome challenge, high above it all! now that's what you want in a good ropes course. An awesome ropes course, however, will let you do all that with a cool sea breeze and a view to match! Not sure that navigating a high-up-there challenge is for you? Did we mention that on this one you'll be safely strapped in, emboldening you to take on the kinds of challenges you may not normally feel up to?
Here everyone - even kids - become thrill-seekers, testing their ability to make their way around the course, which features two levels of challenge, letting you increase or decrease the toughness as you go. So take to the sky!
Camp Ocean
The little ones can enjoy the best parts of summer camp, year-round aboard their Carnival cruise. At Camp Ocean kids will have a blast in supervised, age-based groups and give each a cool marine-life label: Penguins (2 to 5 years), Stingrays (6 to 8 years) and Sharks (9 to 11 years). Together with their group they will enjoy tons of fun-filled, age-appropriate activities like arts and crafts, songs, games, toys, dancing, movies and video games. When comes to mealtime, kids eat together and get their own menus with back-on-land favs like mac & cheese, chicken nuggets and more. The whole time, Carnival's experienced counsellors will be there to make sure everyone in these small groups has an amazing time. Plus, when the sun goes down it's time for Night Owls (fees apply to use this service), but kids get to stay up late having fun while their parents also enjoy themselves well into the night.
Suess at Sea:From the whimsical and always wonderful world of Dr. Seuss comes Cats in Hats, Fish Red and Blue, and both kinds of Things - 1 and 2. And they are all coming to a Carnival cruise near you as the world of Dr. Seuss leaps off the page and onto Seuss at Sea.
Dr. Seuss's timeless stories are the kind kids memorize, and this is the kind of cruise you will remember for a lifetime.
