What facilities & features can I find onboard Carnival Venezia during my Western Caribbean Cruise departing 28 March 2027
It's a long way from Venice to NYC, but Carnival Venezia thinks the two could be next-door neighbors. This ship is now sailing from its Big Apple homeport... and already has big Port Canaveral plans for the winter/spring 2025 season!
What can you expect to find in this ship? Well, there is more than a little Italy in this one - that's why Carnival are calling this new type of cruising Fun Italian Style. It starts with the Venice-inspired atrium Piazza San Marco, the onboard flavor and flair continues at the three-course Marco Polo and Canal Grande Restaurants, La Strada Grill and its Italian street food, plus fusion spots Tomodoro (Mexican-Italian, yum!) and Guy's Burger Joint (new burgers with Italian flavors - also yum!).
And in authentic ristorante style, the elevated Italian of Il Viaggio. Sip well at bars that each specialize in their own thing: complex and sophisticated cocktails at Amari, bubbly stuff (plus snacks and coffee) at Frizzante™, frozen everything at Rococo and fine Italian wines at Carnevale Bar & Lounge. There is great entertainment at the red-velvety Teatro Rosso and its Playlist Productions shows, plus Gondola Lounge was inspired by the famous canals of Venice. Terrazza staterooms are a whole new way to stay in style and comfort, all in a great location close to amenities like the exclusive Terrazza Carnevale, a private terrace deck made for lounging, sipping and fun, day or night!
There is also a lot of the classic Carnival fun that repeat cruisers ( hey there!) know and love. Deliciously familiar flavors come from spots like Bonsai Teppanyaki and Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse™, while celebration spots include Piano Bar 88 and Serenity Bar, and relaxation happens at Cloud 9 Spa and Serenity Adult-Only Retreat.
For the kids, there is spaces just right for their age like Camp Ocean, Circle "C" and Club O2. And outdoors, get ready for a very splashy WaterWorks and SportSquare featuring a ropes course, jogging track, mini golf and outdoor fitness center.
Dining Venues on Carnival Venezia
Steakhouse
Turn your special vacation in the direction of delicious - book a table for an unforgettably delectable evening at the onboard Steakhouse. The menu features mouthwatering premium cuts of beef cooked to your exact specifications, as well as a fantastic selection of seafood, entrees, gourmet appetizers and even a wine list that got the nod from Wine Spectator. (They actually call it the Award of Excellence.) The Steakhouse's atmosphere pairs remarkably well with, and perhaps even enhances, the culinary creations of our gourmet chefs.
Like any destination restaurant, reservations are highly recommended, and can be made online after booking your cruise. Your meal includes an appetizer, salad, entree, side, and dessert.
Guy's Burger Joint
Carnival went looking for someone to help them grill up the best burgers at sea, and found just the guy. Teaming up with best-selling author, restaurateur and Food Network personality Guy Fieri to bring all the authentic appeal of a roadside burger shack to Guy's Burger Joint, the cool poolside spot for hot burgers and hand-cut fries. Try a fresh-off-the-grill burger Guyapos;s way, or take it off-road to the toppings bar and truly make it your own.
BlueIguana Cantina
Nobody knows Mexican dining like a blue iguana. Well, the blue iguana, at least. That's why it should come as no surprise that the BlueIguana Cantina features freshly made tacos and burritos stuffed specially for your enjoyment. Throw homemade tortillas and salsa into the mix, and you have a casual dining experience that will make you say " mmmm" (which is actually Iguanese for "more, please").

The Waterworks
Wanna splish, splash the whole day away? Head on over to WaterWorks, Carnival Venezia's onboard waterpark. First up, there is the Twister Waterslide, hundreds of feet of spiralling awesomeness that starts you off high in the air and gets you down low with one of the fastest, wettest rides you will find anywhere.
Select ships have side-by-side racing slides, which make serious competition seriously fun. Wear your speed suit for Speedway Splash, which features hundreds of feet of racing action, plus special lighting effects you will experience on the road to victory. DrainPipe ends with one major swirl of a finish, while PowerDrencher takes soaking seriously, just picture the biggest bucket of water you have ever seen, raining down on you from above. This isn't just for kids, the young at heart are encouraged to zoom and splash around too!
The RedFrog Pub
Get into an island state of mind before you even set foot on one. RedFrog Pub is Carnival Venezia's laid-back, no-worries, oh-so-lively Key West-inspired pub. Sample Caribbean fare, dominate at the foosball table, enjoy some sweet tunes from live musicians and sip Carnival's tasty signature private-label brew, ThirstyFrog Red. So kick back and feel the island vibe come to life. You will be a local here before you know it.
The Alchemy Bar
No magic spells are required to enjoy a cocktail creation at Alchemy Bar, Carnival Venezia's unique vintage-themed cocktail "pharmacy" - you just need a willingness to be surprised, to try something new. Having flipped through dusty old texts to uncover enticing combinations: select spirits, fresh juices, infused syrups, spices and other tantalizing secrets performed before your very eyes by the true mix-masters: the bartenders. Choose a remedy from the menu, or let us prescribe you a custom elixir just for you, with or without alcohol.
Playlist Productions
Everyone has those perfect songs that never fail to get them moving. Playlist Productions, Carnivals' onboard theatre team brings lists like yours to life! Your favourites become full-blown musical productions featuring singers and dancers bringing down the house. Shows vary by ship, but there is a playlist for every music lover. Need a few examples? How about the spicy sounds of Amor Cubano, the movie-magic soundtrack of FLICK, or Vintage Pop with its 20s-jazz-meets-modern-hits?
Release your inner rock-n-roll patriot during America Rocks! Enter the centre of groove with the passionate Heart of Soul. Feel the arena-shaking sounds of Epic Rock, the piano-pounding sounds of 88 Keys, the totally bad-meaning-good 80s Pop to the Max, plus the funky, sophisticated and not-at-all exclusive Studio VIP, where everyone is welcome to come and get down!
Camp Ocean
The little ones can enjoy the best parts of summer camp, year-round aboard their Carnival cruise. At Camp Ocean kids will have a blast in supervised, age-based groups and give each a cool marine-life label: Penguins (2 to 5 years), Stingrays (6 to 8 years) and Sharks (9 to 11 years). Together with their group they will enjoy tons of fun-filled, age-appropriate activities like arts and crafts, songs, games, toys, dancing, movies and video games. When comes to mealtime, kids eat together and get their own menus with back-on-land favs like mac & cheese, chicken nuggets and more. The whole time, Carnival's experienced counsellors will be there to make sure everyone in these small groups has an amazing time. Plus, when the sun goes down it's time for Night Owls (fees apply to use this service), but kids get to stay up late having fun while their parents also enjoy themselves well into the night.
